Packaged Driver Amplifier

Mimix Broadband, Inc. introduces a GaAs three stage driver amplifier with a self-biased, single supply design. Using 0.25 µm optical etch-stop pHEMT device model technology, this driver amplifier, identified as CMM1118, covers the 11 to 20 GHz frequency bands. The CMM1118 provides 20 dB gain and delivers 14 dBm P1dB. With on-chip ESD protection, the CMM1118 is assembled in a low cost, surface mount 3 × 3 mm QFN package. The 16 terminal plastic package is also lead-free. The device is suited for wireless communications applications such as millimeter-wave point-to-point radio, local multipoint distribution services (LMDS) and SATCOM.
