Mimix Broadband introduces a Ku-band gallium arsenide (GaAs) power amplifier module (PAM) offered in a low-cost 4 × 4 mm, plastic QFN package. Using GaAs pseudomorphic high electron mobility transistor (pHEMT) device model technology, this PAM, identified as CMQ1432, covers the 13.75 to 14.5 frequency bands. The CMQ1432 provides 31 dB gain and delivers 32 dBm of saturated output power. This ultra-compact PAM is lead-free and is self-contained with 50Ω input and output terminals. It is unconditionally stable, and the internal matching allows for a reduction in external components. The CMQ1432 is intended for use as the final RF amplifier in extended Ku-band satellite applications.
