Ka-band Products

Mimix Broadband introduces a line of Ka-band GaAs MMIC products, including power amplifiers and a doubler, covering the 27 to 34 GHz frequency bands, with the 30SPA0536 device achieving 36 dBm Psat. Using 0.15μ gate length GaAs pseudomorphic high electron mobility transistor (pHEMT) device model technology, the 30SPA0536 power amplifier and doubler achieves the following performance levels: 27.0 to 33.0 frequency (GHz); 21 dB gain; ± 1.0 gain flatness; 2.1 A @5.0 Bias (mA@V). The 30DBL0537 (14.5 to 17.0 RF In GHz and 29.0 to 34.0 RF Out GHz) when used in conjunction with the 30SPA0536 is well suited for highly integrated uplinks for commercial and defense applications, eliminating the need for a more complex heterodyne up-converter system design. The new amplifiers, which also include the 30MPA0562, and 30SPA0557, and doubler are appropriate for wireless communications applications, such as millimeter-wave point-to-point radio, LMDS, satcom and VSAT applications.
