Mimix Broadband introduces a gallium arsenide (GaAs) monolithic microwave integrated circuit (MMIC) three stage low noise amplifier that covers the 20 to 36 GHz frequency bands. The low noise amplifier, identified as XL1002, has a small signal gain of 23 dB with a noise figure of 2.5 dB across the band. The XL1002 includes simple, single supply bias with no need for negative voltages or active bias circuits and offers good input and output match due to its balanced design. It is suited for wireless communications applications such as millimeter-wave point-to-point radio, local multipoint distribution services (LMDS), and SATCOM.
