Andrew Wireless Solutions’ CommScope, Inc. division announces the release of The Andrew OneBase™ Extender Multi-Sector Micro, designed to be the smallest multicarrier power amplifier (MCPA) configuration for wireless operators. This single cabinet will support three separate antenna feeds at a base station site. Available in April 2008, the Multi-Sector Micro will join Andrew’s OneBase Extender portfolio of high power MCPAs that already are in deployment at thousands of 2G and 3G network sites worldwide supporting CDMA, GSM and WCDMA technologies, and combinations thereof.  Andrew OneBase MCPAs extend the coverage or increase the capacity of wireless base stations. By providing active combining and coverage enhancement, Andrew OneBase MCPAs help reduce the need for additional antennas, feeder lines and cell sites. In addition to its high power density, the OneBase Multi-Sector Micro is differentiated by its unique remote diagnostics, performance monitoring and power failure capabilities, which simplify the operators’ continuous operations support.
