Andrew Corporation announces a tower-mounted amplifier (TMA) that will provide operators with a suitable option for coverage and capacity enhancement for 3G networks. The Andrew OneBase™ Compact TMA, at 1.5 liters, makes it simple to visually integrate at an operator’s cell site or within a remote electrical tilt-enabled basestation antenna. Compliant with the Antenna Interface Standards Group (AISG) standard that ensures basic interoperability of antennas and control infrastructure, it is antenna line independent and backward-compatible with non-AISG UMTS sites.
