Andrew Corporation announces two small aperture terminal (VSAT) antenna designs. The 75-centimeter elliptical Ku-band receive-transmit antenna system has been designed with a narrow beamwidth for improved adjacent satellite discrimination using Andrew’s precision fiberglass composite manufacturing process. The antenna’s feed has been designed with a narrow profile to work with additional "sidecar" feed assemblies that will accommodate closely spaced multi-satellite applications. The 66-centimeter elliptical Ka/Ku band antenna system will combine a precision steel reflector with a commercial grade die-cast support structure for good Ka-band performance. The antenna system’s Ka/Ku feed design features transmit at Ka-band and dual receive polarities at Ku-band.
