Lindgren RF Enclosures recently introduced its new Auto-Latching Door System for EMI/RFI shielded enclosures. Providing sealing qualities and shielding performance, the new Auto-Latching Door features a pneumatically operated latching device that eliminates the excessive force required for operators to open conventional EMI/RFI shielded doors. Auto-Latching Door Systems are designed for installation within new or existing enclosures in a variety of wireless, telecommunications, and EMI/RFI testing applications.
The Auto-Latching mechanism is activated when the door has been pulled or pushed into a closed position, maintaining a controlled positive seal of the perimeter contact fingers. A push button actuator unlatch function releases the latch system for exiting, or in the event of air supply failure. The door provides quiet operation on compressed air.
The Auto-Latching Door System was designed to eliminate the opening/closing ergonomic difficulties associated with conventional manually operated RF doors. The door has been cycle tested up to 80,000 operations with no failures and can automatically seal without the need of electrical power when activated.
