Surface Mount Oscillator
Fox Electronics offers the F254, a compact, low power consumption 32.768 kHz HCMOS surface mount oscillator for keeping track of time and date in multiple applications. Because of its small size and low power consumption, Fox’s F254 is suitable for devices such as cell phones, digital watches, MP3 players, stereos, car radios and video and digital cameras, where space is limited. It is also designed for use in applications where keeping track of the date and time is essential such as postal meters and parking garage ticket dispensers. The RoHS-compliant F254 measures only 2.5 mm × 4.0 mm, with a profile of 0.9 mm. It requires 1.5 µA of input current during full operation and 250 nA of power during standby operation.
