DC/DC converters support DDR Memory applications

Murata Power Solutions introduces its 60A-rated VCN60BADJTU-1C and 70A-rated VCN70BADJTU-1C small form-factor point-of-load (POL) DC/DC converters that deliver high-efficiency and high current density for powering DDR1, DDR2 and DDR3 memory, as well as general purpose ICs in multiple applications. They provide high efficiency and high bandwidth for a range of applications such as computer equipment, telecommunications hardware, test equipment and industrial automation. Both the 60A and 70A DC/DC converters have a current density of approximately 50 A/in3 and efficiency of 88% at full load. Programmable output voltage range is 0.6 to 3.5 VDC, with a typical set point accuracy of 0.5%. Input voltage is 12 VDC, and the modules have an industry standard height of 1U that can help simplify integration.
