Responding to the needs of customers exempt from the RoHS specifications, AVX recently developed a tin-lead finish version of the conformally-coated tantalum radial leaded capacitor (TAP). Designated the TEP series, these capacitors are professional-grade devices manufactured with a flame-retardant coating and feature low leakage current and impedance and exceptional temperature stability in very small packages. The TEP series has a capacitance range of 0.1 to 330 µF with a capacitance tolerance of ± 10%; ± 20%. It is available in bulk and T&R packaging for automatic insertion. The wide range of capacitance, working voltages and case sizes enables TEP to accommodate almost any application.
