American Microwave announces an ultra high-speed millimeter wave switch. The AMC model SWCH1-DC40-SK designed for DC to 40 GHz however, it is useful up to 50 GHz. Across the DC to 40 GHz band the switch exhibits a typical Insertion Loss of 5.5 dB with a typical isolation of 65 dB. The switch offers ultra high switching times of 15 nS maximum with the rise and fall times typically at 5 nS. The standard model uses V female RF connectors while a "K" connector version, with removable shrouds, is also available. The size is 1.20 inches× 1.30 inches× 0.50 inches. The TTL control is via an SMC Male connector and the DC power of 8 to 15 VDC is through solder pins.
