Ansoft introduces SIMPLORER SV v7, the latest release in its line of SV (student version) software. SIMPLORER SV is a free, downloadable, version of SIMPLORER, Ansoft's multi-domain simulation tool for the design of systems typically found in the automotive, aerospace/defense and industrial-automation industries. The software is suited for engineering students studying design topics in power electronics, drive technology, electromagnetic actuators and electric machines, controls, transportation technology, micro machining, mechatronics and sensor systems. SIMPLORER SV v7 offers users the same commercial standard SIMPLORER features of performing simulation using VHDL-AMS alone or in combination with circuits, block diagrams, state machines, and SIMPLORER's other modeling languages. Additional new features included within this SV release are: standard scripting language (Visual Basic, Tcl/Tk, and LabView); VHDL-AMS wizard for automatic model generation; VHDL-AMS editor with syntax coloring and automatic symbol generation; VHDL-AMS import; open digital basic component library; open AMS basic component library; tutorial examples.
