Epcos, Inc. introduces its SIMDAD 1201 small current-compensated data line chokes for automotive electronics that measure 3.2 × 2.5 × 2.5 mm³. Despite a volume reduction of more than 50% compared with the 1812 case size, good electrical and mechanical parameters have been retained. These chokes cover an inductance range from 11 to 100 µH, and they are designed for continuous temperature of up to 150°C. They are lead-free and RoHS compliant. Qualification to AEC-Q200 is pending. These chokes satisfy all requirements of the CAN and FlexRay bus systems.
