Anadigics, Inc. announces its AWB7220 power amplifier that is targeted at the 3G and 4G femtocell markets. It is a highly isolated, fully matched, multi-chip module that is designed and engineered for use in femtocell and customer premises equipment worldwide. This power amplifier is a 4.5 V module that operates from 2.5 to 2.7 GHz with extended operational capability between 2.3 and 2.5 GHz. Designed for OFDMA waveforms such as 802.16 WiMAX, the module delivers 28 dBm (P1dB = 35 dBm) output power with 30 dB of gain. It is manufactured using proprietary InGaP-Plus technology that provides state-of-the-art reliability, temperature stability and ruggedness. Its self-contained 7 × 7 × 1 mm SMT package incorporates matching networks optimized for output power, efficiency and linearity in a 50-? system.
