Anadigics Inc. announces that the company is shipping multi-mode, multi-band power amplifiers (PAs) to Samsung Electronics for the new SGH-Z620 3G handset. With a profile of only 11.8 mm, the SGH-Z620, also known as the Ultra Edition 11.8, is a handset that features a 2 mega-pixel camera, HSDPA connectivity and QVGA display. Anadigics single-package 6 × 8 × 1 mm penta-band WCDMA / EDGE PAs significantly reduce space requirements, enabling manufacturers to design thin multimedia handsets, such as the SGH-Z620.
