Jitter Attenuators for SONET/SDH Networks
Valpey Fisher Corporation introduces its VFJA400 and VFJA401 integrated clock/PLL timing modules for synchronization in SONET and SDH network elements. They offer the ability to select one of four preset input frequencies from 8 KHz to 200 MHz and 200 MHz to 800 MHz, respectively. Both timing modules provide a low jitter (0.2 ps RMS from 12 KHz to 20 MHz) synchronized LVPECL output frequency from 10 MHz to 200 MHz. A lock detect indicates when the output signal is frequency locked to the input. Operating with a +3.3 V power supply, both devices typically consume less than 150 mW. They exceed the requirements for Telcordia GR-1244-CORE, GR-253-CORE, ITU-T G.813 and G.8261.
