Custom MMIC Design Services Wins a 2011 Army Achievement Award

Custom MMIC Design Services was awarded a 2011 Army Achievement Award in recognition of its innovative work on high efficiency, low power, low noise MMIC amplifiers for SATCOM applications. Paul Blount, President and CEO of CMDS, accepted the award on behalf of the company at a ceremony at the Pentagon in Arlington, VA.

“We are very honored to win this award,” said Mr. Blount, “as it is in recognition of the successful completion of our first Phase II SBIR contract, where we exceeded all of our program goals. The award was based on four criteria including originality and innovation of the work, relevance to the mission of the U. S. Army, immediate commercialization potential, and overall quality of the project. Indeed, we have launched no less than eight commercial products as a result of this research, including LNAs with 0.8 dB and 1.1 dB noise figure at 10 GHz and 20 GHz respectively.” For further information, visit www.custommmic.com.
