Family HealthCare Network Achieves Seamless and Reliable Coverage with a Xirrus 802.11n Network

THOUSAND OAKS, Calif., /PRNewswire/ -- Xirrus®, the leader in high performance Wi-Fi that delivers the most coverage, bandwidth, and user density in the industry, today announced the deployment of Xirrus high performance 802.11n Wi-Fi Arrays at Family HealthCare Network in Tulare and King's County, CA.

This migrant healthcare facility has 13 sites with a number of training rooms along with classrooms for A.T. Still University. Wireless mobility is simply a necessity for FHCN as their technology advances and their facilities grow. To fill this need, FHCN chose to deploy Xirrus Arrays which allowed them to gain mobility while still providing enough bandwidth to support both their medical and educational facilities.

"We went wireless because we have providers at all sites that need to be mobile enough to take their tablets in and out of the exam rooms," said Alfred Alvarado, Network Administrator at FHCN. "We had another wireless vendor that was deployed here and I found that deploying their APs to each and every site was very cumbersome. Each AP was managed individually so in order to get some sort of central management I would have had to come out of pocket quite a bit. However, with Xirrus I can use XMS to deploy certain configurations at every site or one site at a time and it is all centrally managed."

Alfred continued by explaining the Xirrus deployment process, "It was simple. Very self-explanatory, very user friendly, and I would definitely choose the ease of set-up over other vendors. The application engineers were very knowledgeable; the sales staff went above and beyond.
