IMS Connector Systems offers a RF connector series for the use in medical equipment. This RF coaxial connector series is called "MedLock." Instead of a threaded mechanism, the "MedLock" connectors have an innovative quick-lock coupling mechanism. Because of this new coupling technology an extremely reliable connection as well as an easy and fast mounting can be achieved. The "Medlock" connectors have an extended connector housing which provides a strain relief and prevents bending and damages to the cable. In this way, the cable connectors offer outstanding electrical performance during the whole product life time. These medical RF connectors are suitable for applications up to 5800 MHz. The service load at 2 to 4 GHz is 500 W. Typical applications for MedLock connectors are therapeutic devices like magnetic field therapies as well as RF controlled medical measurement and monitoring systems.
