Mill-Max Manufacturing Corporation announces that its online Design Guide now includes RoHS equivalent parts for virtually all its products. To offer RoHS compliant products, the company had to eliminate the lead component in tin/lead plating. The Design Guide offers gold and new pure matte tin plating as RoHS alternatives to tin/lead finish. Because RoHS products will be used in “lead-free” soldering processes at typically 30° C higher temperatures than traditional tin/lead processes; all RoHS products will be supplied with a high temperature plastic insulator. The Design Guide uses distinct part numbers for RoHS compliant products and is also available on CD-Rom.
