Agilent Technologies’ 5.7-Mbps HSUPA test capability analyzes W-CDMA/HSPA test and lab applications, which runs on the 8960 Wireless Communications Test Set, in Category 6 HSUPA-capable mobile devices and chipsets. Also known as E-DCH (Enhanced Dedicated Channel), the software provides Radio Bearer and Frequency Division Duplex test modes and applicable 3GPP TS 34.121 HSUPA RF measurements. The 3-G mobile telephony protocol adds packet-switched (PS) data connectivity for HSDPA Category 8 and E-DCH Category 6 mobile devices. The 8960 Test Set can be used for wireless device development, manufacturing and repair 2-, 2.5-, 3- and 3.5-G wireless technologies.
