Liquid Crystalline Polymer Materials



Rogers introduces the first of its new ZYVEX™ liquid crystalline polymer circuit materials for high performance electronics where high frequency, chemical resistance, and fine line high density interconnect (HDI) requirements are critical. ZYVEX TeraClad™ material is a single-clad laminate, developed primarily for flexible circuit applications. These new materials provide a significant increase in design latitude when compared to existing materials such as polyimide. Benefits include excellent dimensional stability (high density ICs), reduced stress (high reliability), lays flat (efficient processing and handling), reduced variations in electrical performance (high speed in all environments), and allows thinner layers (minimal design changes). ZYVEX liquid crystalline polymer products are designed to meet industry requirements for low/stable dielectric constant, low/stable dielectric loss, extremely low moisture absorption, high chemical resistance, matched in-plane CTE, and excellent dimensional stability.
