HEICO Corporation announced that its Electronic Technologies Group has completed the acquisition of Switchcraft, Inc.("Switchcraft") through the purchase of all of the stock of Switchcraft's parent company, Switchcraft Holdco. On October 20,201 1, HEICO announced that it had entered into an agreement to acquire Switchcraft.

We had a chance to speak with Joe Tillison from Avnet at the IDTechEX Energy Harvesting show. Avnet was demonstrating its activities in the energy harvesting and wireless sensor network space by having two separate demos that include energy harvesting nodes, one of which is a 2.4 GHz sensor network with nodes powered solely by thermal, vibration, light and RF induction.
