Autonomous UI Architecture Supports OEM Differentiation and Customization



Fluffy Spider Technologies (FST), announces the release of FancyPants 3.0. This new version of the company's multimedia applications framework augments the rich graphics and multimedia UI capabilities of FancyPants by de-coupling user interfaces from the applications code that use them. This advanced approach to UI design and implementation goes beyond custom themes, icon sets and color schemes common on many mobile phones and other intelligent devices. Through scriptable, autonomous user interface coding, FancyPants 3.0 lets developers, integrators and other ecosystem participants completely control and customize the look-and-feel of the end user experience. In traditional mobile/embedded and also desktop applications, application code "owns" the particulars of UI implementation, determining the type, orientation, placement and other attributes of objects on the display. FancyPants 3.0 instead lets application developers specify generic or abstract presentation of controls, widgets and even content, giving downstream channel partners the freedom to brand and customize.
