The RNM series from RECOM is said to be the smallest isolated DC/DC converter on the market, a fully specified 2,000 V DC isolated converter in a package smaller than a finger tip. The case size measures 8.3 × 8.3 × 6.8 mm (approx. 0.33? × 0.33?× 0.27?) and the pins fit into a standard 0.10? grid. Specifications include 1 W of output power, input and output voltages available in any combination from 3.3 to 15 V DC and 1 or 2 kV DC isolation. The ambient operating temperature covers the full industrial range of -40°C to 85°C without derating, and operation up to 100°C ambient is possible. Conversion efficiency is up to 84%, and output ripple/noise is 100 mVp-p.
