LED Lightpipes Prevent Color Mixing
Elma Electronic, Inc. offers its lightpipes that provide distinct color output, and they have optional barriers that prevent color mixing from adjacent rows. Each pipe in the LED array can block interfering light from other pipes. The lightpipes have thin polycarbonate barriers which not only block intruding light from other tube lanes, but they also add strength which is important for lightpipes that are especially long. The result is clear, segregated color definition and a more rugged LED system. The barriers for the light-up protected LEDs are configurable, giving users the flexibility to have barriers between some or all of pipes, allowing the ability to mix and match.
