Murata Power Solutions' UEI30 isolated DC/DC converters deliver 30 W output power in small instruments, computer-based systems, datacoms equipment, remote sensor systems and vehicle electronics. The 23.4 × 48.8 × 8.9 mm devices offer regulated fixed output voltages of 3.3, 5, 12 and 15 V DC, and 4:1 inputs from 9 to 36 V DC and from 18 to 75 V DC. The RoHS-compliant converters use a synchronous rectifier forward topology to achieve up to 91% efficiency. The units exhibit magnetic and optical isolation up to 2,250 V DC, operating temperature from -40ºC to 85ºC with derating; and remote on/off with positive or negative logic. The products demonstrate input undervoltage lockout, input transient protection, overtemperature shutdown, output current limit, output overvoltage and reverse conduction elimination.
