DC/DC Converter Offers 3 kVDC Isolation

Murata Power Solutions announces its NMK series of isolated 2 W single output DC/DC converters that provides performance in a small, pin compatible, industry standard SIP package, allowing for drop-in replacement of other devices. Comprising eight models, the unregulated NMK series offers a choice of 5 V and 12 V inputs and output voltages of 5 V, 9 V, 12 V or 15V. Efficiency is 89% typical (at 15 V output) with an output voltage set point accuracy of 7% and 2.5% (for a 15 V output). The RoHS-compliant series offers 3 kVDC isolation (for one minute) and power density of up to 1.33 W/cm3. The devices are able to maintain full 2 W load performance across an industrial operating temperature range of -40° C to +85° C without any external heatsinking.
