Pickering Interfaces’ 40-736 multiplexer switches communications signals carried on 100-Ω differential pair cables. The device has POTS, USB and Gigabit Ethernet capability with an 8:1 configuration as well as 100BaseT and AFDX capability with a 16:1 configuration and the ability to reverse the transmit and receive pair. Input and output signals are carried on a 78-way D-Type connector and an interface adaptor card converts the signals to an 8:1 Ethernet MUX on RJ45 connectors. The device can be supported by any 3U PXI chassis and is also supported by Pickering Interfaces 60-100A Modular Switching Chassis with an LXI compliant interface. A common communications interface input can be electrically routed to the required output.
