Enhancements to Wireless Infrastructure Solution

Wavelink Corporation announces enhancements to Avalanche™ Mobility Center (Avalanche MC). The latest version, Avalanche MC 4.1.1, includes significant feature upgrades that enable Wavelink’s broad base of major retail, manufacturing and logistics customers to better manage and custom configure their wireless infrastructure, and to benefit from a flexible, multi-vendor management solution.

Wavelink’s Avalanche MC product provides a single, central view of each element of the wireless LAN, provisioning and maintaining all major brands of handheld mobile computers, wireless infrastructure devices and peripheral items, such as printers and barcode scanners. Using Avalanche MC, customers can centrally deploy, secure and manage the entire mobile system. Key features of version 4.1.1 include, enhanced network profiles, web-based reporting, improved user interface, scan-to-configure and site install for mobile device management

With this latest version of Avalanche MC, customers can now apply network profiles universally to all branches of nested regions, benefiting from immediate visibility of device information while simultaneously enhancing security through support of the latest security protocols. Avalanche MC now features the Wavelink Avalanche MC Report console, a Web-based reporting interface that gathers and presents vital inventory, health and status information for devices based on regions or device groups.

Additionally, Avalanche MC 4.1.1 offers a significantly enhanced user interface that provides improved region and network control. The integrated Scan-to-Configure feature enables customers to set up wireless devices using barcode scans for simple and rapid device deployment. This release also simplifies the installation/deployment process based upon the unique requirements of the end user. With these upgrades to Avalanche MC, customers can extend the capabilities of their mobile systems while leveraging existing technology investments.
