The series offers pulse power handling of >10 times the equivalent standard thick film chip resistor in the larger sizes. It also offers higher pulse handling compared to the equivalent size SMT melf, ranging from roughly two times more up to nearly six times more depending on part size and pulse duration. Applications include utility meters, switch mode power supplies, small motor controls, medical electronics (especially portable devices), metering and diagnostic equipment, industrial controls and LCD and plasma displays and monitors.
