Avago Technologies announces its Model ASMT-Mx00 1 W high power Moonstoneä LED emitter for use in a variety of architectural, garden and decorative lighting applications. Available in a thin package, this energy efficient LED emitter is encapsulated in a heat- and UV-resistant silicone compound for high reliability and long life. This LED emitter, which is available in amber and red colors, provides designers of solid-state lighting applications with an easy-to-use power LED that has a wide viewing angle radiation pattern, and optimal heat dissipation that provides thermal management and consistent light output. The low-profile design (3.3 mm) of the 1W LED package is suitable for a variety of lighting applications where height is a constraint. They can be easily soldered using conventional surface mount techniques.
