CSR announces the qualification of a Class 1 Bluetooth single-chip solution. Available in 4 3 4 mm WLCSP or 6 3 6 mm VFBGA packages, BlueCore5-FM features a connectivity of up to 3 Mb/s and output power of +10 dBM. This allows the device to easily cover the 100 m range required for a Class 1 Bluetooth radio without the need for an external amplifier — all within a PCB footprint of 39.2 mm2. BlueCore5-FM has been designed specifically for mobile handsets.
