Controller Uses Hard Drive and Monitoring Module

National Instruments’ NI PXI-8108 embedded controller uses a 32 GB solid-state hard drive and the MI PXI-8250 system monitoring module for PXI and CompactPCI systems. The device utilizes an Intel Core 2 Duo T9400 processor and NI LabVIEW 8.6 software, and works with NI LabVIEW Real-Time and LABWindows™/CVI Real-Time modules to deliver deterministic real-time measurement and control. The hard drive extends operating temperatures to a range from 0°C to 55°C and helps with reading and writing to files and streaming data. The monitoring module checks system intake and exhaust temperatures, fan speeds, processor and memory utilization, and power supply voltage levels. The controller’s front panel includes LEDs for parameter indication, and a relay for connectivity to external devices.
