Link Microtek Ltd. introduces two MMIC-based connectorized power amplifier modules that are suitable for broadband instrumentation, test equipment and communications applications. Manufactured by Hittite Microwave Corporation, Models HMC-C037 and HMC-C036 are GaAs PHEMT 0.5 W power amplifiers that operate over the 10 MHz to 15 GHz frequency range. The devices have identical electrical specifications with the primary difference between them being that the HMC-C037 features an integrated heat sink for ease of use in a lab environment, whereas the HMC-C036 is supplied in a miniature hermetic module which allows users to specify a mechanical interface to suit the requirements of their own particular system. Gain flatness is ± 0.3 dB from 2 to 15 GHz, and the saturated output power is 0.5 W up to 15 GHz.
