Step Attenuators

The AS-SMA series of step attenuators from Link Microtek has been designed to provide desirable performance at an economical price. Manufactured by Narda Microwave, the attenuators operate over the frequency range DC to 2.5 GHz and are suited for use in both infrastructure applications and test equipment. The AS-SMA series consists of four models, offering attenuation ranges of 0 to 1 dB in 0.1 dB steps, 0 to 10 dB in 1 dB steps, 0 to 50 dB in 1 dB steps and 0 to 70 dB in 10 dB steps. Typical average power-handling capability is 1 W, and the devices have VSWRs between 1.2:1 and 1.5:1, depending on frequency. All models are equipped with stainless-steel SMA connectors, providing reliability and an expected life of over 1 million steps. These low-cost step attenuators measure 38.1 mm in diameter (excluding connectors) and have overall lengths ranging from 69.9 to 136.5 mm.
