Providing design engineers with a higher power device in a compact, space saving design, TT electronics IRC Advanced Film Division offers a 2W current sense flat chip resistor in a 2512 package. Designated the LR Series, the current sense resistor features a copper conductor element on an alumina substrate with wraparound copper terminations and a protective overcoat for increased stability. Additional applications for the LR Series resistor include DC/DC converters, automotive electronics, power supplies and battery chargers. Also available in 1206 and 2010 sizes and rated at .5 W and 1 W respectively, the LR Series chip resistors feature a resistance range from 0.002Ω to 1Ω, with tolerances to ۫%, TCR to 𫏌ppm/°C and a dielectric withstanding voltage of 200 V. Operating temperature range is from 㫏°C to +150°C. The chip resistor is available with standard 60/40 tin/lead plating or lead-free terminations.
