M/A COM announces five low-, medium-, and high-barrier Schottky diodes in low-profile surface mount packages for higher frequency, WLAN, instrumentation, and electronic counter measure applications. Each diode and IC solution delivers improved frequency performance from DC to 26 GHz for retrofit and next-generation detector, mixer, and limiter applications.The MA4E2508M-1112, MA4E2514L-1116, MA4E2532M-1113, MA4E2544L-1282, and the MA4E2099-1284 are suited in RF and microwave detector, mixer, and limiter circuits. As Heterolithic Microwave Integrated Circuit (HMIC) SURMOUNT Silicon Schottky diodes, these "0502 style" devices offer designers a profile of 50 × 20 mil² and parasitics of L_S = 0.45 nH and C_P = 0.02 pF. Device thickness, (five mils), is one-half that of the standard 0502 style ceramic package. Other geometries in the family include "0505" devices. All devices feature silicon pedestals embedded in a low dispersion, low loss glass. In a two terminal single device, the diode is formed on the top of one pedestal.
