IMS Connector Systems announces QLS® (Quick Lock Standard) coaxial connectors. The QLS coaxial connectors are advanced QMA connectors and provide a secure and fast alternative to all SMA and QMA connectors. The quick lock mechanism of the QLS coaxial connectors offers an easier, faster and safer mounting process compared to the threaded coupling of standard SMA connectors. As no space for a mounting tool is required, the packing density can be increased and the panels are no longer scratched or damaged. Flexible positioning of the cables simplifies the mating process of the connectors during the field installation. Compared with QMA connectors, these connectors offer an increased plug-to-jack contact pressure and therefore provide improved electrical performance and higher contact safety. The special locking mechanism prevents connectors from being unlocked by thrust or shearing forces from the cable. With the double amount of mating cycles, QLS coaxial connectors are considerably more durable than QMA connectors.
