austriamicrosystems announces a family of high-performance analog switches. These high-speed, low-voltage, quad, single pole/single throw (SPST) analog switches offer performance improvements over existing products Typical switching time has been improved by over 40% while maintaining desirable on-resistance (Ron), flatness and channel matching. Through the improved bandwidth of 130 MHz, the devices are appropriate for video and high-speed data signals. The wide supply voltage range from 1.6 to 3.6 V supports a range of designs. All digital logic inputs are 1.8 V CMOS compatible. The combination of very low power consumption, low R_on and fast switching speed makes these devices suited for portable battery-powered applications and allows for switching of currents up to 250 mA. The impressive power routing performance enabled by the low R_on of 0.9Ω makes these high performance switches a good match for low-Ohm speakers and headsets. The analog quad switches are available as normally open (AS1751), normally closed (AS1752) and a combination of open and closed (AS1753).
