AMI Semiconductor announces the Evaluation and Development Kit (EDK 3.0), a new tools suite for developing embedded software as well as evaluating the performance and flexibility of the company’s DSP-based standard products targeted for audio and audiology applications. EDK 3.0 provides an integrated development environment enabling development teams to program advanced, customized software for their specific signal processing applications. This suite of software tools allows DSP engineers to perform edit, build and debug activities. Key features of the EDK include: Project wizard with templates based on sample algorithms, automatic no-maintenance project builder and system libraries to reduce development time; advanced editor with command completion, content assist and integrated help provides context-sensitive, dynamic reference lookup; integrated debugger providing full source code debugging and scriptable interface, customized expression watch, register and memory views with change highlighting; and integrated project manager with team development support (source code control integration).
