Belden announces its high definition multimedia interface (HDMI) cables to enhance the home theater experience. The HDMI shielded twisted pair cables provide an interface between any compatible digital audio/video source and a compatible digital audio and/or video monitor in the home theater set-up, as well as providing support for standard, enhanced or high-definition video and multi-channel digital audio, all on a single assembly. Applications include connecting HDMI sources such as broadband/cable set-top boxes, digital video recorders, DVD players, HD-DVD and Blu-ray players; various display devices that include plasma screens, digital light projection projectors, liquid-crystal displays (LCDs) and liquid crystal on silicon (LCOS) or digital image light amplification (D-ILA) devices. All HDMI cables are 1080p verified.
