A new range of die cast backshells from Tyco Electronics, forming part of the AMPLIMITE D-subminiature range connector family, feature an innovative design with two cable entries. Rugged and durable, the backshells are available in a choice of two cable termination styles; a standard screw down cable clamp, or for higher performance requirements, a full crimped termination between inner and outer ferrule using the appropriate application tooling. Available in 9 to 37 position (shell sizes 1 to 4), the backshells allow use with a number of styles of cable mount AMPLIMITE D-subminiature connectors including high density variants, and are supplied complete with mounting screws for locking into the mating connector.
