Software Development Kit

Extended Systems announces the XTNDAccess Blue Software Development Kit (SDK) for Linux. XTNDAccess Blue SDK for Linux enables developers to easily implement Bluetooth capabilities on devices using a Linux operating system. It runs as a module to Linux kernel version 2.4, enabling developers to implement Bluetooth functionality without having to be an expert in the technology. The protocol stacks, profiles, and Linux integration modules are delivered in source code form and are specifically designed for developers of small, embedded devices. For developers adding Bluetooth wireless communications to their products, "outsourcing" the core Bluetooth protocol stack technology from Extended Systems will result in a reliable implementation. The core protocol stack functionality includes support for HCI, L2CAP, RFCOMM, OBEX, and the Service Discovery, Serial Port, Generic Object Exchange, File Transfer, Object Push, and Dial Up Networking profiles.
