ON Semiconductor introduces the µESD (micro ESD) dual series of micro-packaged electro static discharge (ESD) protection diodes. The µESD dual series is designed to protect voltage sensitive components for two lines in applications that demand minimal board space and low profiles. The series clamps 30 kV ESD transients — per the IEC61000-4-2 standard — in less than a nanosecond to ensure voltage sensitive components are protected. These devices clamp ESD pulses to < 7 V to protect the most sensitive systems and minimize disruption in a circuit’s functionality. The µESD dual series features the SOT-723 package, measuring 1.2 × 1.2 mm.
