Vishay Intertechnology’s VJ0805, VJ1206, VJ1210, VJ1808 and VJ1812 HVArc Guard® SMT X7R MLCCs include optional polymer terminals. The devices have optimization in applications including buck and boost DC/DC converters, voltage multipliers for flyback converters, and lighting ballast circuits. The capacitors exhibit surface arc-over prevention at high voltages, capacitances from 100 pF to 0.27 µF and a voltage range from 250 to 1,000 V DC.
