Rohde & Schwarz announces that it has enhanced the firmware for its R&S FSQ signal analyzer and R&S FSU and R&S FSP spectrum analyzers with High-Speed Uplink Packet Access (HSUPA) analysis firmware. The firmware allows comprehensive measurements to be made on HSUPA base station transmitters and modules. The R&S FS-K72 and R&S FS-K74 application firmware is used to analyze UMTS base station signals. The R&S FS-K73 firmware is used to analyze UMTS user equipment signals. These options have previously provided HSDPA functionality and now have been enhanced to provide HSUPA functionality in both uplink and downlink.
