Terminal Block Relay for High-Current Applications

Phoenix Contact unveils its PLC-RELAY, a high-current terminal block relay with plug-in SPDT contacts. It is designed for applications requiring a nominal current rating up to 10 A or those that need to improve the electrical life of the contacts. Measuring 14 mm wide, the relay’s contacts are larger than a standard 6 mm terminal block relay, and they help to extend service intervals two to three times longer than the standard relay, while adding security for uncertain load conditions. These high-current terminal block relays are an alternative to ice cube relays. In addition to saving space, they feature a plug-in bridging system, eliminating the daisy chain wiring and reducing installation time. The relays connect to 6 and 14 mm PLC-RELAYS using the press fit bridge.
