High Performance Low Noise Amplifiers

Sirenza Microdevices announces its SPF-5043Z and SPF-5122Z high performance enhancement mode pHEMT MMIC low noise amplifiers (LNAs) that offer a sub-1 dB noise figure and high linearity in an active-biased gain block configuration. Fully integrated impedance matching circuitry eliminates the need for external matching components and stability-compromising series feedback, and on-chip active bias circuitry helps to eliminate the risk of performance degradation associated with process threshold voltage variation. These RF MMICs are compact, easily integrated and they minimize design-related issues typically associated with pHEMT or GaAs-based FET LNAs. Applications are in cellular, PCS, WCDMA, TDSCDMA, ISM and WiMAX receivers.
